as a stat, Spell damage, is the least efftual. however, for 3 talents you get 30% of your AP. thats free stat. and 30% of 2k AP is very very high. and also, On the PTR 1 SP = 1.8 healing. so my 2k unbuffed AP = 600 SP = 1080 +healing for a DPS sp . . . in WSG when irit Heal with an insta FoL for 1.9k and get another 1140 over 12 sonds . . . thats 3k. on live, my FoL are about 400-500 . . . iant think of any reason why you would sk this talent. it is a 100% must have talent. +DPS, and it takes ourompletely useless heals andhanges them into something amazing.
you are missing some of the bread and butter talents. you must have imp BoM, not just for you but your teamraid. pvp must have eye for eye. Ret aura is 'your job', imp it for pvp. (does imp buff onlyount for pally or whole raid?) divine purpose is ne to have for pvp. sheath is godmode on many levels(heals, ret aura,onsrates, e). i feel like i would try 2-3 differentombinations to get a balae of longevity, survivablity, max dmg, and support. iouldn't a viable sp wo first playing through some pvp, raids, and quests to see how the new game mhans work.
For DPS in instaesraids, wotlk.wowheadom?talent=sZaxZVfbtbIrsguAo is what I would do. Improved HoJ is ne and all.. til you reh the mobs where DPS reallyounts, whh happen to be stun immune. Taking Imp. BoK has the distit advantage of freeing up some talent points for your tankadin if you happen to run as a guild, too.

5 points into prot and the rest into Ret is by no means a "bad" pvp sp. just being Ret is an amazing pvp sp on the ptr. so if you want pve, youan sp for it and still be able to pvp just fine. just toss your extra points into some of the pvp talents in Ret. going deep into prot is for the harore arena types.
