Am I missing something?

I have a lvl 40 troll hunter and I must be playing him wrong because I hear everyone talking about how much fun they are to play.  Anyway, all I seem to do is have my pet (boar) charge in meanwhile all I do is stand back and hurl arrows at the enemy.  It gets kind of boring after a while.  I use the occasional spell along with my arrow, but is that it for a hunter?  Sometimes I charge in, but I only end up getting wacked and then I have to run like a girl.  Am I missing something or am I doing something wrong? Any replies will be helpful.  Thanks for reading and helping me keep WoW interesting. Don't use occasion shots, get a shot rotation down for maximum damage. Learn your traps and abilities. The mentality that you showed in your post though could make every class boring, but if you're really not having fun, try another class for awhileAs a Hunter, you never charge in. Hunters are meant to hit hard from a distance which is why we have pets that help tank for us. If you're finding it that difficult to enjoy yourself, try other classes and play around with them for a while. That's what I did. That's how I discovered my Druid and I've been happy ever since :)

Mace Training
I am a hunter and was wondering if i could train in maces? If i can then where do i train in it at.Hunters can only train in bows, guns, crossbows, thrown weapons, daggers, axes, fist weapons, swords, pole-arms, staves, two-handed axes and two-handed swords. The only weapons they cannot use are wands and one-handed and two-handed maces.that sucks i h8 bliziz choice on wat not to include in hunters WHY OH WHY WASNT IT SWORDS??? Even hunters have their limits.
